Shopping spree

Evening chummies,

Today I went shopping with one of my girlies in the city. Woo. I don't shop often but when I do I shop a lot. My intention was to only buy stuff I needed, ie. a battery for my camcorder which costs a fortune that I don't own and some supplies for the internship I'm starting on monday.
Well there I was in the technical thingies shoppe. I grabbed the battery and didn't look at the price because I already knew the price and I would probably faint if I saw it again. The battery has a 14 hour life when charged, which results in 7 hours of filming. Woo.
Anyway, walked on, passed the DVDs and CDs. Wait, wait. DVDs? Walked back. Browsed. Took. Bought.

Acquired items:

  • Battery
  • Music and Lyrics DVD
  • Miss Potter DVD
  • A Knight's Tale DVD
  • Paolo Nutini - These Streets CD
Went on to the next store where my friend had to buy some things for her field trips to wherever in the wild. To examine plants and insects and that. I admire her.
Went into a couple of other shops, a music shop but they only sold books, about dead musicians, and just sheet music. I wanted to ask the shop people about MIDI-keyboards but didn't as they looked old and loony and like technophobes. Will consult the Wacky Wide Web for help.
Had lunch in a shop. Chips and chicken things with sauce. Not bad, not expensive. Just unhealthy. It's a miracle I'm still skinny. Friend was wiser, had soup.
Went into several bookshops.

Acquired items:
  • The Secret - Rhonda Byrne
  • The Complete Novels - Jane Austen
After that we had a little time left before our ride would be there so I bought the necessary stationary for my internship. Nothing fancy.

Acquired items:
  • Stationary things
It had been a successful shopping spree, and the weather had been surprisingly sunny. Just as we were about to go back to where we had asked our ride to be, it started pouring. This is not fair. Someone must hate us. Also we had to cross an open bit of square and traffic lights to get to where we were supposed to be and of course all the traffic lights were red. So, we looked like drowned rats. Lovely.

Did get home, we dried up a bit and I did the laundry that overheated in the dry cleaning machine. It must be my lucky day. I was looking at a possibly going to be blown up dry cleaner with my laundry and thought that perhaps I would have to wear shreds for underwear, but I didn't. Thank goodness. It didn't blow up.

I hope this bad luck is going to end now.

Goodnight.

Faye
