If I live to be a hundred it would be so weird

Hello ready people!

Just a little hello from your old pally Faye. I know it has been a while since I last bothered you, so I thought it was high time to do so again. Naggity nag.

When I say old pally I kind of mean it in a literal sense because my birthday has come and gone and I am a year older. You know, that is really rubbish because you aren't actually a year older at all. You are just another period of undefined time older. But I won't get into that because I'll only confuse myself. Shut up brain. However, because it was my birthday and at dinner some time later we were talking about what it would be like to be a hundred years old, I will talk to you about what it would be like to be a hundred year old. Not that I've ever been a hundred before, so I can't really say that I know what I'm talking about. Though I do live next to an elderly home. On occasion one of them elderly people wanders into our building all confused and then the nurse has to come and take them back. Awww. I hope I never become that far gone.

Back on topic. If I were to be a hundred years old it would be so weird. I can just imagine myself, all scrawny and toothless with stringy white curly hair but slightly bald and with a shivering hand and a cane and a wheelchair. Wait, no I can't. That's not me. I would be the cat lady that makes cookies and sits in a rocking chair reading a book.
I just hope I won't annoy my children. Must remind myself not to be annoying when old. But I bet every not-old person reminds themselves of that until they get old, and then they forget and get annoying anyway.

Luckily I am not old yet and I don't have any children to annoy, yet. Hm, maybe I should write myself a note and put it in my wallet to keep with me forever. 'Must not get annoying to my kids and grandkids when I get old.'

Brilliant idea, no?

Happy Birthday!!!

That would actually be really cool to write a note now and then look at it when you're a hundred!

My mom just gave me a box of photographs, some over 100 years old. It was so freaky to see such old photographs, imagine having our ancestors looking at our photographs a hundred years from now...wow!
